【Handmade Kurume Kasuri Dress with Embroidery】B ¥38,000

This dress is a remake using a vintage kimono of traditional Kurume Kasuri weaving, especially the popular and hard-to-find Shosei-gasuri. A petticoat specifically for the dress is also included.

A simple stand-collar dress... The embroidery on the chest gives it a handmade feel. It can be worn as a dress or combined with pants or leggings, and can be used throughout the year.

Work Process
The dress is made by deconstructing a Kurume Kasuri kimono. The kimonos are unused or carefully selected for their good condition.
① Wash the kimono in hot water (using a special detergent)
② Air dry in the shade
③ Unpick the seams.
④ Wash in hot water (using a neutral detergent)
⑤ Rinse twice in water → Air dry in the shade
